"Staff very helpful Onsen was very busy but we enjoyed it. Breakfast was okay . I found the buffet dinner very nice Drinks were a little expensive Could have have had a bar area for the evening ."

"We were made to feel exceptionally welcomed on arrival by the staff. The place was comfortable and clean, the staff extremely attentive, and we were provided with every amenity required. We felt that the offer of the Yukatas and sleeping garments were really considerate. We enjoyed the carefully curated dishes for dinner. Really exceptional service, this is how luxury travel used to feel and sadly has been lost in many places in more modern times. Highly rated. Takayama was the highlight of our visit."

"The staff were all friendly. The room and the whole building was clean. I love their private onsen and free popsicle and yakult before/after onsen, and their free half bowl ramen at night. Will definitely go back."
