Please do not choose this hotel, you will be regre
The bed hs fleq. our feet was bited seriously. You can not find power inlet from desk, you need to do it at bathroom even you want to have mobile phone charged. I highly recommend not to choose the one. Very dirty!!!
The hotel was pretty easy to find and near convenience stores, which was nice. However the location is a bit sketchy and a decent 15 minutes walk away from central areas. The front desk check in was no problem, but the rooms are in really bad condition. The air conditioner worked fine, but was super old and only had a couple of settings. The bed linens were clean, but the room itself was quite dirty. I was worried about bugs or cockroaches during my stay because it looked so dirty, although I did not see any in my two night stay. The price was really reasonable though, and if you don’t care too much about the hotel condition, it’s a good bargain near the ferry.
No frills, indeed! Almost nothing in the room. It doesnt deserve to be called a hotel. It’s dirty, at best. The approach welcomes guests with tons of trash —- a mountain of used/out of service refrigerators, etc. (Working?) washing machines where guests can do laundry on one side. Very old facilities needing cleaning, wiping. The room looks like an abandoned condo unit renovated, leaving partially cut doors and dividers! The beddings looked worn out and suspiciously unsanitary. We booked for 2 nights but checked out asap the next day, wasting more than JPYen 7,000 (US$65) for the paid up remaining 1 night. Reception’s manned by 2 very old guys with pasted smile who did not bother to lend us a hand with our luggages. “Lobby” is furnished with a pitiful sofa across the tiny reception counter.
We were so exasperated with the hotel and room condition we abandoned all touristy plans including visit to Mt. Konpira and nearby hot springs. My Japanese husband is particularly shocked there exists such a hotel in Japan, wondering how hotel license was gotten in the first place. We’ve lived and traveled in Japan for almost 40 years and this is our first time to encounter such hideous commercial accommodations.
Proper and regular sanitary and “architectural” inspection is truly in order.
You may not want to publish this review but we will spread the word and pray other travelers wont be victimized.
Note: we had to pay JpYen 14,000 for a short notice booking at HGH 1
