"Beautiful nature, lots of trails! Staff is very helpful and the basics for a short stay are there. If you like fruits and veggies, load up before coming to the lake. The next door restaurant serves good food, but certain items you take for granted in the big towns/cities are not always available in the nearby stores"

"Spectacular setting in a lush forest on a bluff with views of and steps down to the beach. Spacious rooms with balconies. Well equipped kitchenette. Pet friendly. Spa and heated pool and sauna across the road — no bathrooms, changing room or water alas during an extended repair or remodel, and wish it had been open an hour later than 9pm. A very nice, albeit pricey, fine dining restaurant on premises. Despite the drawbacks, it exceeded our expectations."

"We didn’t like the back bedroom lack of privacy as it looked out on main hallway. Our grandsons complained that the sheets were scratchy. We liked being on first floor so we and our dog could sit outside. Our grandsons loved being able to go to the pool 2x day. . A pleasant stay. We have stayed in different accommodations at the Canterbury Inn and will be back next year."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Grey Gull! The property is clearly well cared for — clean, comfortable, and it’s obvious the owners take pride in maintaining it. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, and the unit had everything we needed for a relaxed family stay. Loved the walkable location — easy access to the beach right from the covered trail, plus restaurants and shops nearby. There’s a fun retro 80s vibe throughout the property that gives it real character, and we appreciated the community game room/area — a great way to unwind in the evenings with our son. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend for families looking for a comfortable, low-key beach getaway!"

"I got to say when I walked up it looked just like a plane little old hotel but it also didn't say that there was a continental breakfast so did my surprise when I showed up there was. I also was very surprised by how clean and nice the rooms were. One of my family members rented another hotel down there block and paid twice as much and their room was dirtier and smaller. They had high ceilings with a ceiling fan. My only complaint was that they had a brochure in the room that said they had vending machines but they didn't have a vending machine or ice machine but everything else about my stay at this hotel was very pleasant I will definitely be going back and gladly spend the money it was the best price and nicest hotel out of all the family members that I had to stay in town that weekend out of four different hotels that we seen it was the nicest. If you just want to clean simple place to lay your head this is the place and the staff was also very friendly and nice to talk to."
