"Have returned as a guest multiple times over the years- my favorite VB hotel. Friendly; at a (usually) quiet end of the beach; ammenities are GREAT for the price. This time, however, ocean view was obstructed by tractor trailers due to monster truck event right outside. So much for a quiet, peaceful weekend retreat! -- lesson learned: pay attention to any events booked at the 5th/6th street area during your stay. "

"You have to park a block and a half away, even with a handicap sticker."

"The shower was falling off and the temperature dial was backwards. There was blood found on our sheets and a pillow! The staff were freiiendly and quick to correct."

"most unfortunately- police were on site when we arrived for an incident. The outlets in the room were very sparse … like no where to plug your things into and the 2 outlets on one whole wall did not work- hence the tv, fridge, microwave also did not work. …. "

"Only one staff member was less than kind when we asked for help with the wine/beer bar. The guy that helped us during check in was very nice and helpful with the fire pit. The bathroom in our room could have been cleaner. Overall great stay and would return! "

"Noisy traffic, people banging on doors after midnight. Toilet needs caulking so to give it a cleaner look. Dark carpet gives it a dirty feel. Bulbs dont give enough light and good cover for any bugs. Roach stickers on wall to confirm other travelers that bugs are present. The refund fees is overwritten by hotels policy. No options available so we paid the fee that should be refunded based on none existance. Staff not friendly and gave me the room key and announce room number with other questionable man present. Didn't feel safe."

"I grew up in Virginia Beach and always wanted to stay here after it was built. What a waste of space! The room we were given faced a parking lot, out toilet didn’t work- my husband had to fix it, we ran out of soap and when we asked for more they just put a bottle I. Our room and not set it up in the shower. We asked them to freshen up the room. They only made up one of the two beds and didn’t do the next day. Never again! "
