"Perfect location and staff"

"Over priced for what you get. Booked a room with a king size bed bc it was just the 2 of us . They only had “premium room” but there wasn’t anything premium about it. Compared to most other hotels, the too. No different than a regular room with a king size bed. Also you have to pay $10 for parking on top off $175 for 1 night, plus pay a $50 deposit on top of that. It’s an old motel. There was never anyone at the front desk any time we went into the lobby. When we first arrived, there was a signed saying they were assisting other guest and would return shortly. And listed a phone # to call for assistance. I did & told them we were needing to check in. Had to wait for someone to come check us in. Then again the next morning when we were trying to check out- came down stairs to an empty lobby. Same deal- tried to call the phone # to let them know we need to check out. This time no one answered. Someone finally came. We’ve stayed in Nicer hotels at the beach for less money than this one. "

"Staff were great with check-ins..Our toilet kept running water because the commode wouldn’t fill with water. Called front desk and they said they would get maintenance. Maintenance called two hours later when we were ready to go to sleep. We told them come fix it the following day and no one did. Other than that it was a good stay."

"It would have been nice if when we checked in we had been told that if we parked in the lot we would not be able to leave until 12 the next day due a race in the morning. It messed up our whole morning and reason for coming to Va Beach."

"Waited all day for room to be cleaned and was then told it was by request only. Nice if they mentioned that. Also there was a charge for parking which i found out about from my brother who was staying at same hotel. Again no mention. I was told this is the doubletree way. I guess you need to know their way ahead of time"

"I didn’t have a beach view once checked in even though I was informed I would have one. The A/C was down the first night BUT thanks to MAINTENANCE before and after bringing me a fan! overall 7/10. "

"Everything was fine the only issue is upon check-in they wanted to charge me $25 extra for checking in 45 minutes early after driving for 15 and a half hours I refused and came back at 3:00 but all this should be disclosed ahead of time"
