"After a busy 10 days sight-seeing around Sicily, we found ourselves in this oasis that is Guigguilena. The greeting from Sabrina was warm and personal. The balcony of our spacious room was almost overhanging the ocean. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. One evening Claudia made us a typical and very tasty Sicilian dinner. The centre of Ortigia is an easy 25 minute walk away. What more could one want?"

"We relied on reviews to stay at this property. Along the way, the road there made us skeptical as to what to expect. However, following the signs and arriving at the white gates opened us up to paradise. There are 2 pools, one salt with a jacuzzi, and the other enormous and elegant, complete with bar service. "Aretusa Vacanze was excellent and all the staff were so friendly. The breakfasts were very good and they were enhanced by the excellent selection of homemade jams. Parking was about 10 minutes walk away for €20/ day in a private lot which was reasonable for the area. "

"The hotel is immaculate with very friendly service. Being able to park the car across the street is an extra bonus. The location can’t be beat. You’re a two minute walk from the best parts of Ortigia. The rooms are spacious. We loved our stay."

"Nice location about 15-20 min drive from Syracuse town. Had some issue with a waiter serving the wrong items, but the hotel was kind enough to give us that for free, plus a nice bottle of wine that we had selected. Big pool area for both our hotel (the 4 star one, that Hotels.com have not updated yet) and the 5 star one. Great breakfast as well. Just miss the porridge which is more non existent all over Italy. "

"Only reason i stated here was cause i needed a parking spot for my car, and guess what, you just park on the street, i do not call that a proper parking when the hotel states free parking included. The staff where great though, location is not."

"This hotel is somewhat under construction so the living room is not set up well but the staff is excellent, the breakfast options were good (with real cappuchino - not from a machine!) and there is an elevator so we didn't have to lug suitcases up a stairway. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping came in every day. Front desk and breakfast staff were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, markets and a barbershop!"
