"It was clean, nicely feeling accommodation in a retro style. The retro does NOT mean old and worn out, but more like the feeling of staying in a small local museum. The rooms are the biggest I stayed in during my two-week road trip in Iceland. Location is best - first line facing ocean / harbor. The only thing I liked less where showers. They where ok, but I would do there some renovations to match the entire guesthouse level."

"His is a great hotel!! Diana at the front desk and behind the bar was so nice and wonderful she made our experience just amazing. All the staff was so friendly and accommodating and the fact that it is still an active church makes it so unique. It was one of our favorite places to stay!!"

"The room was clean, in our shared bathroom I never had a problem, it was large and clean. The food was delicious, the lamb was the absolute best. The only thing I would recommend is a better shower curtain in the shared bathroom at ommuhus since people on the street can see into the shower. Overall the hotel is a great option! Very quaint and welcoming, but not too rustic haha"

"On the positive side, the hotel common areas and room were very clean and the breakfast was fantastic. The location is nice and is set on a hill looking over the town. The bed was super comfortable and we slept very well. On the not so great side, there was no staff member present for about 10 minutes when trying to check in. Further, for what we paid, I would have expected something better than the small, old tv in the room. For the price we paid for one night you could double the size and quality of the tv. There were also only very limited channel selections. Also, as a Gold member, I would have hoped for an upgrade to a better view as we overlooked the roof and not much more. We stayed at 5 different Fosshotels in Iceland and this is the only one that we had mixed feelings on. Mostly because we feel that we overpaid for what should be a mid range hotel. Particularly when compared to other Fosshotels."
