Very basic room but very clean. We were lucky that the staff was there when we checked in so we did not have to go through the Internet to get in. There’s a nice well equipped kitchen that shared by all the guest. A fridge stove, dishwasher everything you need.

Cute historic building, very well maintained and clean with a lot of thoughtful amenities. Everything is clearly labelled and check-in instructions are clear and easy - just make sure your phone has battery. Amenities that were thoughtful are a kitchen with specific drawer and fridge to leave food for future guests, an "honesty" fridge where you can buy snacks/drinks and just pay at the machine at the front desk, and flyers for things to do in the area. They also provided me with a 2200 ISK voucher for Valeria which was super sweet! My room was spotless, as were all common areas. The shower was really nice with good water pressure and my bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning. There's a patio at the end of the hall upstairs with a perfect view of Kirkjufell. The town of Grundarfjordur is also very charming and I would have loved to spend longer there. Beautiful guesthouse in a perfect location! I hope to be back one day.

Nice, centrally located guesthouse with an excellent shared kitchen. The rooms were a reasonable size, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had, which other guests arriving at the same time also experienced, was gaining access to the property and our room. Access is managed through a website using a code sent by email. Everyone seemed to have trouble getting it to work on arrival — there were three other parties arriving at the same time as us, and we all struggled with it. I definitely wouldn’t want to arrive in the dark, as it makes the whole process even more of a hassle. Other than this - we had a lovely stay!

Super basic hotel. The room was tiny. Hardy enough space around the bed. The wash sink was in the room by the window separate from the toilet and shower which were on the other side of the room in a separate little room. It felt like sleeping in a student dorm room.

Very neat, clean rooms, even quite tasteful. The bathroom seemed new and modern. The shower was spacious. The kitchen had plenty of equipment, you could make a family meal here easily. It was also a very sociable space. The property has a lot of stairs, if that bothers you. It's a nice quiet location too, great views, but the whole village has great views. I just wish I could have spent two nights here.
