"We stayed two nights on the first morning our bedroom was cleaned while we were at breakfast. Our suitcases were carried up the stairs to the reception area and back down again when we left.
We were concerned because before we arrived and after booking we discovered car parking was not guaranteed and though we were lucky this time we are not sure if we would risk it again. However when we phoned to question this the lovely lady at reception did offer to move her car if necessary.
We do feel that the Hotel.com website should have mentioned the stairs and the car parking.
The restaurant was lovely with beautiful views. We did not eat in the restaurant apart from breakfast. We felt the menu a bit limited for myself, vegetarian and no tomatoes. The breakfast was a bit disappointing but that was my fault as I should have noticed that the advert said continental breakfast available. So there was yoghurt, fruit juice, croissants, cereal, toast, ham and hard boiled eggs, some unappetising apples and oranges,"
"I enjoyed my stay, but I found the room to be a little noisy given the proximity to a busy road nearby. Also, I realized that there was no air conditioning in my room."
"This is a lovely hotel, we found the parking a little awkward and the food and drink wasn’t quite up to standard but nice enough. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms and staff nice and friendly. Did not like the wine here though :("
"Outstanding staff with great personalities throughout the hotel. Willing to help and made our stay extremely enjoyable. Collectively, probably the best hotel staff I have had the pleasure to meet. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities you could need. Had a lovely swim and used the steam room, that was enjoyable. Enjoyed our 2 course meal and after dinner drinks. The only downside is the continuation of the franchise to charge for parking. The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Have stayed in its sister hotel in Wolvercote and this was the reason I booked for our group of 4, as that was a great experience also. I recommend both hotels and woukd definitely stay again."
