"Great staff and amazing price point at the Sleep Inn at Staunton!
Colleen greeted us at check-in and was extremely friendly and helpful. When we went upstairs and realized she had given us a double queen room (turned out to be due to a miscommunication from Expedia), I returned to the desk to let her know I had booked a king (per my confirmation and receipt), and she switched us without issue, as there was still one available.
Our room was clean with a super comfy bed and plenty of pillows. Room temp was easily controlled. Had a microwave and fridge and everything we needed for a quick overnight halfway home from a southern road trip vacation.
Property is clean and up-to-date and the area feels very safe at night. Only downside was the thin walls, but as regular budget-conscious travelers we are used to that and always bring a fan or sound machine to ensure a restful night.
Super convenient, right off I-81 and lots of places to dine nearby. Free breakfast was basic but good hotel fare, and we appreciated that it was still hot and plentiful when we came down at 8:30, even though it was offered 6 to 9am.
Staunton is a great little city, and the hotel was so nice (and affordable!) that we’re thinking of a weekend trip there when the weather is warmer!"
