"Central city location, just a short stroll to the New Theatre, and Lido. Comfortable (though dated) bedrooms. Welcoming communual bar and lounge facilities. Free on site parking was a bonus. We booked two double rooms for two nights. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating, and by prior arrangement, allocated us adjacent rooms. "

"The hotel was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent (119) with king size bed and plenty of room. The bathroom was newly decorated and the shower very good. The room, corridors and reception area were clean and tidy. The only negative is that there is no food on site and the leisure facilities are no longer open and will probably never re-open. Food and drink can be found nearby at The Farrier attached to the Premier Inn which was nearly double the price for a nights stay. People who we were meeting stayed there and were disappointed as it was noisy. In contrast, we found The Urban was very quiet. In summary, I would recommend people to stay here whether they are on a business or leisure trip."

"Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone . The hotel rooms are quite quirky with antique furnishings and our room had an oriental/ Asian flavour…perhaps some artwork over the bed would have made the room more appealing.The bed and shower were great and extremely hot water so that is a bonus. We walked to visit Burghley house which is located behind the inn and is a must see. The town of Stamford is a hidden gem …I felt we were on a movie set…exquisite Georgian buildings and fantastic indie shops. Would definitely stay again…Breakfast is fab and Gluten free options"
