Disappointed & Frustrated – Not the Eco Experience Promised
I wanted so badly to love Concordia Eco Resort in Saint John, but my experience was overwhelmingly disappointing. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was not the peaceful, well-run eco resort they advertise.
Let’s start with the customer service — or complete lack of it. During the rare times the office was open, the women working were polite, but absolutely not helpful. I asked repeatedly for a clean pillow after discovering mine was moldy, and for several days, I was brushed off with vague promises and zero follow-through. That alone would’ve been bad enough, but it was only the beginning.
We requested extra towels on our first night. Nothing. Asked again — multiple times — still nothing. It felt like we were a bother just for wanting basic necessities.
The “air-conditioned villa” I paid for? It was dirty on arrival. I ended up having to clean the whole place myself. The bathroom and areas around the bed had ants, which only got worse as the days went on. There’s clearly no regular pest control or real upkeep being done.
As for the amenities listed online — don’t be fooled. Almost none of them are available in the off-season, and nowhere was that made clear when booking. No activities. No real support staff. It’s basically a ghost town with someone occasionally manning the desk. The way it’s currently being run, it’s simply not worth the money, stress, or disappointment.
