"Overall cleanliness was good, although the room’s rug was dirty. Lots of food and shopping options nearby. Room space was also good. Downside - my room was never reserved and had to be accommodated in a room with full sized bed."

"We loved the historic nature of the hotel and its proximity to everything we wanted to see in Richmond. Staff was very friendly and Annabelle the cat was a hit with my daughter. I wanted to love everything about the experience but the condition of the hotel was a bit disappointing. There were unpatched holes in the walls and dirty/uneven wallpaper in the room. There were also several areas of the hotel that showed signs of work in progress with plywood propped on walls and a ceiling panel lying on the floor. The guest chair in our room was broken and unsafe to sit in. We would love to try staying here in the future but I hope they give some much needed TLC to the rooms and space. "

"I had a very pleasant stay overall and would confidently rate this hotel 4-5 stars. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The staff were friendly and professional, always willing to assist with questions or requests, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished, with all the essential amenities provided. The bed was especially cozy, and I appreciated the attention to detail in housekeeping. While everything was in good condition, a few minor updates to the shower could elevate the experience further. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, dining options, and transportation. The hotel’s amenities, including the fitness center and common areas, were well-kept and added value to the stay. The only reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars is due to a few small issues. However, these did not significantly impact my stay. Overall, this is a solid choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and good service. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"I was attending the VPMIA conference and was treated really well by the staff. Everyone at this hotel was friendly, polite and just all around "good people". The food was great and my room was super quiet."
