"This is an example of how you should never judge a book by the cover. On arrival, the hotel looked extremely dated, lacking the welcome most would expect. As soon as I walked through the main entrance my opinion immediately changed, what a transformation. It is clear a great deal of time, effort and money has been injected into this hotel. The staff, the food, a little slow in being served, but worth the wait, all first class. My room on the 3rd floor was also immaculately done and extremely comfortable."

"Good location.. bedroom was tired and in need of some improvements.. bed base was torn and tatty,.. there were 3 windows, only one was clear, the glass in the other two were in need of replacement as you were unable to see out of them and didn't let light through.. The restaurant was slightly inadequate for the large volume of guests. Breakfast offered a good choice, unfortunately I wouldn't say that the evening food was that nice for the cost.. The staff were extremely good and helpful, nothing too much trouble.. Overall, I would stay here again, but would look a little further afield for the evening meal.."
