South Tampa hotel rooms a the Loews

"Stayed here for proximity to cruise port. It was fine. Rooms clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom tiny and shower pressure lousy. AC very loud and disruptive while sleeping as well as blackout curtains being too small and bright light outside our room lighting everything up. Breakfast was good with waffles yogurt toast/bread eggs but not enough seating and pretty small window they were serving. Took the shuttle ($10 PP) to cruise port and that was seamless. So would stay again if going on a cruise but not necessarily choose it for a general trip to Tampa. "

"Clean room, they do clean and change your sheets everyday , the only downfall from the room i got was no microwave other than that its ok "

"We stayed at the Sleep Inn for one night, and it was an underwhelming experience. The room was loud with old windows, the bathtub mat was peeling, the lampshade was grossly discolored, and the television remote didn't work. Beds were adequate with the pillows being comfortable, but the sheets felt almost moist. The A/C unit sounded like a car engine, so if you need noise to fall asleep, this is perfect for you. The hallways and elevators have an awful smell of musk. They have a sign in the elevator stating the hydraulics is causing the scent, but I've never been on an elevator that smelled like this. Best features? A complimentary breakfast that included eggs, hash browns, yogurt, and waffles with good coffee. Lastly, both check-in and check-out staff members were polite and efficient. A few simple upgrades could improve the inn and the guest experience. "

"We stayed one night prior to a cruise. We didn’t need anything fancy so opted for BW. Employees were very nice, check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, the bed was fine too. The issues we were not pleased about was the funky odor in the room. Shower only dribbled when you tried to get cooler water than very hot and made a terrible noise. The shower curtain was too short and the water ran over the ledge onto the mat and on out of the bathroom. Quiet is not something we experienced. Everyone and their brother seemed to walk past our door with very loud voices late at night, and if I heard the ice machine right outside my door once at night all hours I heard it two dozen times. I felt like it was a $50 room that they charge $200 for. Unfortunately we will not stay again. It is very rare for me to post a negative review but I honestly had to due to what we were charged. If it were $50 I would not be making negative comments because I would have gotten what I paid for. "
