Family friendly Hotels in South San Diego, California

"I was staying there on an important business trip staying in one of the newly remodeled rooms. There was an electrical short - which meant that the bright light next to the bed was flashing on and off every few minutes—even when the panel was set to ‘all lights off’ After trying to sleep for hours I went downstairs only to find the night shift front desk guys had no clue and there was no maintenance person available. Eventually I was able to switch rooms by packing all my things and moving in the middle of the night. But I got no sleep and had to give an important presentation in the morning ;( In the end the manager comp’ed the room for the night but I definitely would not stay there again. "

"I feel like the dextro is trying to be several things that it is emphatically not. it’s not a slick, hip modern stay. it’s not an elegant niche inn. it would be a better experience if the management acknowledged what it actually is, which is a casual but aging property with some limitations. our city-view room overlooked the busy freeway. the room could have been cleaner. it wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t immaculate. the shower was tired and so close to the toilet that exiting was perilous. overall, it wasn’t the stay we expected and parking was very expensive. "

"Room could have been cleaner, there’s some dried blood on the bathroom door (yikes) that’s been there for a while it looks like. But overall not as bad as I thought. The pool was very nice. Staff was very nice. Questionable neighbors especially at night time but if you keep to yourself it’s fine lol. "
