South London hotel rooms a the Great National Hotels

"The room was spacious with a nice view of the Thames. There was no soap in the bathroom. No biggie, called down and someone brought some up. Got in the shower, body wash was also empty. Called down again. It had a kitchenette, dish soap also empty. I was excited about the opportunity to do laundry however no laundry soap. I went to the front desk to ask if I could get some and was told I had to go next door to Tesco to buy some. Went next door and they only sold full size bottles which I wasn’t going to buy for one load, so no laundry. There’s carpet in the bedroom which was filthy. When we arrived, the room wasn’t ready (we were early), so we left our bags and ventured out. I asked the front desk if they could have the sofa bed set up while housekeeping was getting the room ready. Got back around 6, sofa bed not set up. Called down and housekeeping came up but appeared completely annoyed we even asked to have this done. I was literally getting a tip out of my purse when they “smacked” the bed with their hand, said “there you go” and abruptly left the room. I ordered Uber Eats however, I didn’t realize Uber Eats are not permitted in the hotel at all (even the lobby), so had to go down outside to meet him. Upon checkout, the front desk asked how my stay was, I said “it was just ok”, she replied “oh that’s good, have a great day”. The only person I encountered here who was amazing was the gentleman who brought up our luggage. Would not stay here again."

"Didn’t like the self check in feature, but a very nice young lady named Kenza helped us and our check in went very smooth and she even helped us with our luggage up to our room, this is well above and beyond service and all the employees were always so helpful and respectful of our needs, thank you and kiddos to the staff at the Premiere Inn."

"Hostels are very different from hotels apparently. Not only is nothing for drinks in the room, there is not even a glass for water. Dog barking hours into the night. Poor quality food with little vegetarian options. No room service."

"Absolutely fantastic location. We went gif a wedding but if you were going to do tourist things perfect location for Big Ben, London eye etc Staff were very attentive and polite and welcoming. The room was amazing. We were upgraded (to our suprise as we didn’t ask) and didn’t expect it so thank!!"

"Booked a last minute stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. No provisions or offers given to celebrate our special day, not even a 'happy anniversary' comment! Room was not clean...hair in shower area and plughole, dust on table/TV. Breakfast was a smaller selection than expected. Omlettes, eggs Benedict, etc. are normaally available in buffet breakfast but these were chargeable extras! Fried eggs in the buffet were cold. Tables were not cleared of dishes quickly which meant we had to move our used dushes to a neighbouring table. A very disappointing breakfast experience, which was charged on top of our booking....totally unacceptable. Spa area was also extremely disappointing. Only when we enquired about timing for the spa were we informed of the refurbishment taking place. Only the pool was available on a booking system. No jacuzzi, steam room or sauna. I've never been to a hotel where they book you in advance to use the pool and only for approx. 30mins use! When in the pool one wall was covered in tarpaulin for work on the other side....noisey and dusty works going on. Corners of the tarpaulin were torn to show large holes which allowed a lot of cold air towards the pool. There were no treatments available until after check out time! The only positive was the car park and the excellent service from Tino and tge team. Car park area is small but well managed. Location was good but this was an overall very disappointing experience. "
