"The Pod was amazing, we don’t think the photos do it justice! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would love to visit again. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. "

"A really tranquil and well thought out hotel. Great little touches like including an anniversary card in the room for us, and extra amenities in the spa. The staff were friendly and polite, the food was good quality. We ordered room service and the cheesecake was possibly the best I've ever had, it really was perfect 😂😍 the room was spacious and had a lovely little balcony with furniture, we even saw rabbits hopping around adding to the relaxing, retreat vibes. Overall we would definitely reccomend staying here, and we will definitely back (for the hotel and for the cheesecake!)"
"We recently stayed at the Polurrian hotel for an extended weekend. The hotel has building work going on but our stay was not impacted in any way. Our room had a lovely sea view. It was clean every day. The food is highly recommended both breakfast and evening meal. The vista room is very comfortable with a great view.
We used the indoor pool while we were there, it’s small but numbers are strictly limited to four people at anyone time. Löwenna served our dinner. We found all staff to be friendly but lowenna was so nice and gave us time to chat.
The hotel is in an ideal location. We visited St Ives by train one day. Mullion cove and Porthlevan the next. The went to the Minack theatre to watch a show. It is an amazing place to visit. I highly recommend this hotel."
"We were in a superior double which was a garden room and a good size room . The bed had a VERY firm mattress but that was our only negative. The restaurant was excellent and the staff particularly friendly and helpful."
"Absolutely loved our stay here and wish we could’ve stayed for longer.. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or the spa as we had such lovely weather and we’re enjoying the beach.
Staff lovely, comfy bed and lovely shower!"
"The hotel location is excellent for the beach and only 15 minute walk from the town. Onsite parking was good and the outside area was great for watching out to sea!
As with any older hotel, its age is showing and the general fabric of the building good do with some updating. But the staff make up for it!
Breakfast had a good range of buffet items and the hot menu extensive."
"Very accommodating staff, initial room was very nice but extremely warm (due to the heatwave). Reception was very accommodating and kindly upgraded us to a cooler room! Breakfast service was a bit slow. Overall ambience of the hotel was very beautiful."
"What an utterly awesome stay! I stay in a lot of hotels, if you're looking for something exceptional in the St Austell area, you must consider Kingswood.
Almost brand new and perfectly designed, furnished and thought out.
The staff were 10/10 - so helpful and friendly.
The rooms are 10/10 - spacious, spotless and furnished to a very high standard.
The food was next level 10/10 - the scallops were the best I've ever had and the short rib beef was incredible.
There's even lots of parking and the bays are wide, helpful if you have a larger car like mine.
Book with 100% confidence.
We will be back!"
