"The first room I checked into smelled so bad I couldn’t stay in it. I requested another room and it wasn’t much better. I bought my own air freshener to make it tolerable. There wasn’t enough towels and wash cloths for us. The sink cabinet was torn apart and leaking. The shower had mold with little water pressure. The curtains were broken and couldn’t be closed properly and the refrigerator didn’t work. The pool area wasn’t clean and the water was dirty with no towels available at any time during our stay. No continental breakfast was available and we weren’t made aware of that until check in. It was a very run down hotel in desperate need of maintenance. I would have left to find somewhere else to stay but I didn’t have the option of canceling. The hotel was very disappointing and nothing like advertised."
"we asked for a handicap room. It was very much what we expected. Nice bedroom, king bed, little larger bathroom to accommodate wheelchair access. were very pleased."
"Fabulous staff and a great lobby with plenty of room. There are comfortable couches for lounging and chairs and tables for working. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. There is a coffee maker w/premium coffee and tea and complimentary water. I enjoyed happy hour at the bar one day when the weather was nice. Would definitely go back!"
"Rooms are priced medium to high but I always like staying here when in town because of the location. I've stayed here in the past when it was Varsity Inn. Rooms are nice, clean, and for the most part quiet. You might hear some passing freight trains on the nearby tracks. They offer a free coffee and breakfast sandwich with your stay from 6-9AM. Nearby are two other more expensive hotels so this one is not a bad choice by any means, especially if you are just passing through."
"The hotel was great. Breakfast was awesome but the bathroom was tiny. I could hardly fit between the door and toilet. I am not a big guy but if you are on the beefy side you might reconsider and find a different hotel."

"I was charged for using the in room safe. 1) I never used it. An assumption was made. Even if someone uses the safe, the hotel had no way of validating it was used 2) Use of the safe is an optional amenity. Just like on site parking. I did not request this optional amenity and yet it was automatically added. It’s a PER DAY charge. 3) I called the hotel and asked to speak with the manager to better understand this policy of automatically charging.
As of now, I have no response or call back.
This is unethical and unprofessional."
