Hotel Michelangelo

"Good hotel in a good location. Less than 10 minutes walk from Sorrento Centre. Breakfast fine. Rooms good. Only criticism is that the room Mini bar is not free. There were 3 bottles of water and 2 cans of soft drinks in the fridge. No price list or indication that any items were chargeable. We drank the water and then asked to pay when checking out. It was not a problem as it was only 3 euros but I believe any hotel should make it clear to their guests what is chargeable and provide a price list. Personally I think a 4 star hotel should provide complimentary water. Overall the hotel is absolutely fine and whilst I would happily stay there again it was nothing to rave about."

"Loved the ease of the beach club being right there- room was spacious and clean and great AC!! I loved the view on the balcony and we had a city view even. Great breakfast- such helpful staff- let us store our bags so we could enjoy the city before our room was ready. Most friendly helpful staff Beautiful property- would come again! Great location too! Easy to get to marina by foot and explore the city Right by train station as well"

"All the staff were amazing, kind and happy! I was disappointed with the breakfast. Although they had an egg station they only made omelettes and for the first three days there was no-one is sight. We were not offered or asked if we would like eggs so I did complain. It would be good to have fried and boiled eggs offered. Overall the food was disappointing. The beach and pool staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. Check-in was not good. No explanation of amenities, no offer of a drink on arrival. The concierge was brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble. The overall theme was brilliant. So relaxing and one could not help but feel terribly spoilt. The evening room service was not up to scratch. One evening they did not even bother to knock to see if they could change towels etcetera. We were out a lot of the time and only ever had one evening where they turned down the bed and put slippers out. However, I do understand that perhaps we did not use our room sign as we should have done. I absolutely love this hotel. It is wonderful and felt the kindness oozing out of every member of staff. Gold stars to everyone."

"Great hotel - the pool is so lovely, surrounded by trees and peaceful. Good breakfast buffet. Staff was very helpful and attentive. I’m really glad we chose this hotel, we hadn’t heard much about it and were not sure what to expect but we would definitely book again and recommend. We liked that it was a quiet and a little out of the busy hustle of Sorrento whilst only being a 15 min walk from centre of Sorrento. Felt much more chilled because of that than many we passed on the street while exploring. Was good value compared to others too"
