"The continental breakfast was nice with pastries, oj, hard boiled eggs, and in room coffee. Food was delivered to the room. The room was very clean except there was a little mold in the shower. Overall a nice room and hotel for the price."

"The room was very clean, bed looked very well made and inviting, everything worked, the staff was courteous. The one thing I didn't like was the pillows, they were not comfy or plushy, they were bulgy. The location is great you are at walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Overall we had a very good experience."

"I booked this hotel for a weekend stay in Solvang and I really enjoyed my time. They gave us cookies upon check in and informed us of where to get our complimentary breakfast, which was really fun and interesting because it was served at the bakery across the street! The staff were very nice and accommodating. When we got there our room door wasn't shutting all the way and we let the staff at the front desk know and he immediately gave us another room. The hotel was well kept and super clean. It was really cute because we had stuffies with us and the house keeping set up our stuffies on the beds in a cute way. It was such a fun and peaceful stay. I loved where it was located in Solvang. It was right at the edge, so you don't have to choose a direction to start. I had an amazing stay!"

"We went for a long weekend to see the San Julian ranch and decided to stay close by. The Ballard Inn looked like a good choice, and it didn’t disappoint! Very quaint, B&B-style small hotel with really well done, large rooms. We had the Equestrian room, which was extremely cute. (There are no TVs or refrigerators, though- be forewarned!). Daily breakfast was a nice bonus. They even have a daily hot breakfast item, as well as afternoon wine and cheese! Overall, an excellent stay. It’s close to Los Olivos, Solvang, and many wineries. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll go back to the Ballard Inn!"

"This is a great little inn with cottages and a cute little creek. We stayed in a cottage, and it was roomy and had it's own hot tub! We enjoyed the hotel and it was walking distance to the main shopping and dining areas."

"The room was clean, the only problem was the furnace closet and when the air conditioning came on, it was a boom. Pplwalki g through the hallway outside the door sounded like they were in the room with us at some points of the night."

"Sweet little hotel right on the edge of downtown Solvang. We stayed in the 2-bedroom suite and it was very spacious and clean, though furnishings were a bit dated. It was quiet but still walking distance to downtown. The parking lots are tight but we also found plentiful street parking in front. Would stay again."
