"okay so let's start with cleanliness. it's obvious the house wasn't cleaned before we got there or the sheets. The bed sheets smelled dusty and the bathroom smelled like urine. The shower had someone's else hair on the walls and floor. The pool was not heated even though it did say it was. There's no tv which was okay to disconnect. there's no AC which was fine since it was cool at night and they did provide a fan. definitely make sure to stop by the supermarket to get food because restaurants...

"The hotel room was fine. Not at all like was shown in the pictures. Mold in the corners of the room. The bathroom window, which opened out on to a corridor wouldn't lock either. The shower was hot or cold and the room lacked basics like a full length mirror or anywhere to hang clothes. The room had a small private terrace (which was overlooked by someone's bathroom). "This is an outstanding property, One of the best that I have stayed in the world. The front desk staff, housekeeping staff, the sous chef, the wait staff, the turndown service staff, the staff that takes you to the hen farm, the views from their 2nd restaurant, beautifully decorated Kinnik - all possible because of their outstanding staff. The complimentary meditation kit, the french press, the kayak- all adds to the pleasantness of the stay. The beautifully decorated room A must visit if you are in Lake Atitlan. I will go back again!. Casa Palopo is an experience. THANK YOU Casa Palopo Staff."
