SoDo District Hotels near Orlando

"We arrived an hour before check in and were told no rooms were yet available, but the desk agent could provide an upgraded room for a specific amount. It ended up costing another $216 more on top of the $50. a night resort fee. While I’m sure the front desk agent explained it, I just didn’t see what the upgrade was once getting to the room and I felt almost as if it was a bait & switch. I felt compelled to get an explanation. We spoke to Tyler who explained that our room was still standard, but our view was better. He was very thorough and did offer a resolution, but we opted to stay where we were. Later when I had several other concerns & questions. I was able to call guest services and spoke to Brianna. She was extremely helpful! She answered all my questions regarding restaurants, housekeeping, and how to use the QR code to access the many amenities and texting availability to its guests. In fact, it became useful when on several nights we had neighbors who were very loud into the wee hours of the morning. Security was very prompt and took care of that issue. I felt like we had to learn as we went along. But overall the Dolphin is a wonderful hotel in a great location in Disney, albeit a Marriott owned hotel. We will stay there again but will be much better at knowing what to ask and what to expect!"

"Waited to check in for almost an hour (the guest in front of us was just chatting to the receptionist). Then the receptionist allowed another guest to cut in front of us to purchase snacks/drinks. Not very good customer service when she saw we had already been waiting a long time. Dirty room, very loud outside throughout the night. Good location for proximity to Universal but definitely not worth the price!"

"Love this hotel, perfect for a family trip with kids. Pool heated, very important! So many things to do . The staff by the food area are kinda rude . But besides that everything else amazing! "

"This place is huge! Rooms smelled humid and when I reported roaches in the room, they immediately switched us rooms but found the same issue in the new room a few buildings over. Spoke to a manager who said she would refund us a night, but turns out she only refunded the resort fees since they also gave us a voucher for the breakfast bar. Would not come back. Also be ready to have a lady promising a free gift in return for a timeshare presentation."

"Clean / spacious and cozy My only complaint would be the Valet in the Evening . They were rude and pushy . We did valet our car however , please treat others cars with respect ."
