Hotels near Skógar Museum

"Fabulous hotel located near Skogafoss waterfall. Mountain view rooms could see the waterfall. Very vomfortable room. Access to tea/ coffee via a machine in the hallway. Brealfast was lovely with plenty of space. Felt like home from home and what a view!"

"Nice place, good location for excursions, walkable to anyplace in town. The room was HOT. Had to get a fan from front desk and open the window to bring the cold air in. Otherwise an excellent stay."

"What an amazing view from the front of the hotel! Our north-facing room also had a great view. We stayed here in April 2026 on a cloudy and somewhat rainy day. The building is long with a lot of rooms. There is a restaurant, but we opted to drive to Vic for dinner. The breakfast was great. Wifi was a bit spotty but worked overall. Our room was a good size. There were no outlets next to the sides of the bed (plenty in the room though), and there were lights positioned right over the pillows, a real ouchie if you forget. The walls are a bit thin, but our white noise app helped with that. Overall, a great stay outside of the town of Vik."

"There didn’t appear to be a lot of guests but we were in one of the pods furtherest away from the bathroom/kitchen area. A long walk in the wind and cold at night for sure. Overall "

"Fabulous location easy check-in everything you need just remember to take any food and drink you require as there are no shops locally. "

"No staff on-site! If you have a problem or issue with anything, you have no recourse. We had two water leaks coming from the ceiling! Don't bother trying to call any of the "contact phone numbers" provided, no one will answer. Don't bother emailing either, no will get back to you. This place was an absolute nightmare!"

"We stay there for 2 nights during the stormy days. the house is flood with water and shaking vigorously because of the wind. We try look for help but no one pick up the phone. The cottage is nice but not recommend on bad weather days"
