"Very very clean, friendly staff. No frills, but everything you need, neat and in working order. Hard bed and pillows—but this is not uncommon in S Korea. Breakfast is Korean style, which might not appeal to some, but everything was fresh. Location is great—subway a short walk away, small restaurants right across the street, shopping around the corner. "The rooms were spacious and very clean, with a separate toilet room and shower. The neighborhood itself was limited and less clean than other places I’ve visited in Korea. However, the subway is about a 10 minute walk and one train to downtown. There were also other neighborhoods nearby that were walkable with more food options. The room came with a buffet breakfast that was more than adequate. The biggest issue for us was the foyer and the hallways had a very strong smelling air freshener that did not smell nice and triggered our sensitivities to perfume and other strong scents."

"Every aspect of this stay was amazing! Coming from the states, we couldn't download the Korean APPs and the host reached out via whatsapp after the first communication on hotels.com. All instructions on how to get into the building and where to store bags were provided prior to arriving. We arrived a bit early but the room was ready so he allowed us to go straight in - once we arrived, he came in and showed us how everything works (HVAC, TV, etc.) So grateful for this interaction. Location: the bandolwang station is right outside & there is a 7/11 attached to the building. The shopping area, food, bars start a block over. Space: Quiet, clean and located on the top floor of the building, great view. 1000% would stay here again! Definitely recommend. We are a couple in our early 30's. Thank you! "

"Hotel Laonzena was an average hotel and I would give it 3 stars. Our check-in process wasn't very welcoming - we arrived at 1.45pm, just an hour before the official check-in time of 3pm. We asked if we could check in early but the front desk lady immediately dismissed our request and told us to come back at 3pm. She didn't even take the initiative to check her computer to see if a room was available. That left us with quite the unwelcoming experience. The room was a bit dated and tired looking, and small. The double bed also wasn't that comfortable. The bathroom was good though. The swimming pool was closed throughout our stay. They gave us a single coupon for breakfast which was very strange given there were two of us. The breakfast layout was very strange - there were about 7-8 round tables with 6 chairs each. Food was mainly Korean cuisine but the coffee was good. Unlike the check-in experience, the front desk staff during our check-out were very friendly and polite. They even stored our luggage for us in a secure location after we checked out, and even called us a taxi to the train station. They told us the ride was about 7 minutes and would cost around 7,000 Won, and it was very accurate. "

"I stayed 2 nights in the Junior Pool Suite Double Room at Hotel Susung, with a beautiful view of Suseong Lake. The room was spacious, had a jacuzzi, and included a bidet in the bathroom. The rooftop pool offered a stunning panoramic view, and the breakfast buffet was delicious."
