Top Shonan Hotel Reviews

The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu
8/10 Good
"Overall, it is a good hotel, but the facilities are quite outdated and could use some renovation. That said, the location and the view are truly excellent."

Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki
8/10 Good
"도쿄 대비 거의 절반 가격. 매우 깨끗함. 역이랑 편의시설과 가까움. 주차 편리함. 주차 금액은 하루에 1800엔으로 나쁘지않음. 조식 뷔페 매우 맛있음. 직원들 친절함. 다만 헬스장에 바벨같은 기구 하나도 없음. 매우매우 좋은 호텔."

The Fujiya Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Awesome hotel with great history and updated for modern comfort. A perfect getaway from the hustle of big cities."

Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, the in room onsen was amazing and the room was awesome. Great staff. Great location. Wish I could stay for longer- perfect to break up the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Make sure you arrive early- all of the attractions close around 5 pm, which I didn’t realize, but the staff stored my luggage while I went to explore on check out day. The only thing that wasn’t amazing was dinner, but I didn’t go for one of the higher priced wagyu steaks. Otherwise , a perfect stay."

APA Hotel & Resort Yokohama Bay Tower
10/10 Excellent
"It was clean, staff helpful and fabulous locations."

Kawasaki King Skyfront Tokyu REI Hotel
4/10 Poor
"I would not stay there again"

JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama
10/10 Excellent
"Just a bit off the popular Yokohama station area, but the rooms are new, and the staff is the friendliest you'll find. I enjoyed the stay and recommend it for those looking for a reasonable, slightly more spacious single room!"

Hakone Kowakien TEN-YU
10/10 Excellent
"The food selection was amazing and when our A/C didn’t work in one of our rooms, they quickly relocated us to another set of rooms, with a beautiful view and massage chairs! The kids loved it!"

Hakone Kowakien
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at Hakone Kowakien was wonderful. Just to clarify we stay in the Hakone Kowakien Hotel. (Not the Ten-yu) I notice there were mix up of reviews when I was researching the hotel before our trip. The area around the hotel are breathtaking and the grounds beautiful. They are doing some work outside of the dining area while we were there so the windows are covered up and you don’t get a view while you are eating. We opted for breakfast and dinner during our stay. They had a good variety of food to choose from. I find I had a hard time trying everything because I get full long before that. It is a buffet so it does feel a bit chaotic and cafeteria like. But it worked well for us as a family. My son can eat whatever he likes. Our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the mountains and trees. It was a nice change of scenery after spending 5 nights in the middle of Tokyo. The rooms are minimal but clean and in great condition. We enjoyed the Onsen on the roof. I find it was a great way to wake up in the morning and wished I had stay longer to enjoy it. We also booked a private bath. For ¥2500 I highly recommend it if you are shy. We also made use of the pass to Yunessun. We only went to the part where you wear a bathing suit. Over all we enjoyed it. The change room and showers were clean. The pools are a little hit and miss. It has definitely passed its prime. It is worth a go if the hotel gives you free passes to go there but I would not pay much to go in otherwise."
