Ideal location and good hotel

Great stay and ideal for visiting family. Be aware that you need to pay for parking per night of £5 at check in if you did not book direct with Wyndham for your stay.

The hotel is really good value for money. Rooms are clean, comfortable and provide everything the traveller needs: kettle, hairdryer, fan, towels etc. The reception and stairs, which looked a touch shabby and in need of a clean, belie the very good state of the rooms. Having a Waitrose open until late was also useful. Would certainly recommend.

Good value for money and excellent position. Room was basic but comfortable. Bad point was the musty smell in the bathroom and the extractor fan was in need of stripping down and cleaning out the deep layer of dust and fluff.

The room unfortunately smelled of smoke and had either been a smoking room in the past or had had someone smoking in it more recently. The place seemed reasonably clean. Equipment noise, no idea from what, was disturbing at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was good value for money.

Overall very nice but I can't understand why there is only one chair in the room where there is a bed for two people. When I asked for a second chair the staff couldn't help me.

Fire alarm issue

I understand fire alarms need to go off. The hotel and all guests were woken late at night by a false alarm! I would have expected an apology or at least some comment by the staff, grouped at reception talking to each other, as a left the hotel after a sleepless night!

I liked the cleanliness and comfort. It was convenient for my needs and the receptionist in the morning Sunday 19th May was courteous and helpful. Dislikes; Due to an ongoing glitch on the website I booked accidentally on the 16th. .makes This is because the date return to the date the booking is being made after the selections are made by default. I then had to pay £98 to have a room. The bath was stained. Other that it was good.
