"The only item we did not like was that when taking a bath or shower the water was not hot enough. During a shower the water went completely cold. Probably an easy fix for the property. Everything else was top notch wonderful- breakfast was excellent, staff very nice and accommodating. I am recommending this place to others"

"While the inn wasn’t quite what I was expecting, it met our needs. The rooms were clean but definitely dated. The mattress sagged in a way that made me feel I might roll right off. The shower was okay but they didn’t provide body wash (shampoo & conditioner were there). The location was very convenient to the highway but not in the setting you’d picture for an old English inn. I chose this place for its proximity to the Nat’l Park but wouldn’t choose it again since there are other places that are closer. Can’t speak for the breakfast, didn’t even know they served it. Sounds like a lot of negatives for a 4 star review but like I said, it met our needs."

"Halls were dark and dingy. Room was also dark with musty smell. Gym was dirty with bugs and seem to have not been cleaned in a while."

"This hotel is fantastic! Gorgeous design, super friendly staff, perfect location, and great connection to the uva community. The rooms were well appointed with super soft robes and towels. The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! I’m excited to continue to visit this fantastic addition to the uva community!"
