"Second time stay here. Great location with free parking, rooms are nicely decorated and the staff are really friendly. Breakfast was decent too with a choice of continental buffet, full English or eggs Benedict/Royale. Only minor issue was a slight smell of smoke in our room (#25) - probably coming from a smoking area in the courtyard under the windows. Would definitely stay here again."

"A historic building in a central position in Frome, clearly an old coaching inn or similar. The bedrooms sit within a maze of staircases and corridors. Some stairs are best suited to young mountain goats. My room was on the top floor, up a narrow, steep stair with a tricky turn. My stick and I managed it, just, and staff brought up and took down my case. I expected an attic-type room, but it was spacious, with high ceilings, nicely laid out and with a clean, well-maintained bathroom - full complement of shower anti-slip mat, fluffy towels, and bath mat. The window to the front was open and Friday night in Frome is 'lively.' I asked for it to be closed for following nights. Breakfast was served in the bar. A fair choice of cereals, fruit juices, croissants, tea/coffee and a cooked breakfast menu to choose from, delivered plentiful and hot. The cooked element can be slow in coming if the room is full and any items in addition to the set menu, e.g. a second slice of toast, will be charged separately. Overall, fair price, charming venue, quirky accommodation, clean and warm...recommended, but not wholly accessible."

"This is a lovely hotel - the building itself is full of character with plenty of space throuhgout. With free hot drinks and a vending machine for snacks, soft drinks and some alchoholic ones too, there is no need to rush out - but literaly within a stone's throw are 2 restaurants and 2 pubs - and for powerfully-armed cricketers - a couple of cafes. Our limited interactions with the staff found them all to be very helpful and friendly. A huge thank-you to all."

"The hotel was amazing, the room that we stayed in was so clean and lovely, it was the witch’s hat room .we loved it .all the staff were amazing, so friendly , polite and helpful.we will definitely stay there again .the food was lovely and not over priced."

"Breakfast was excellent, location is good. We are a family and they put us in a 3 bed room so great for the kids. Only negative was the shower, low water pressure and not very hot water. Would stay there again."
