"Okay stay. Nothing fancy but got the job done. Perfect for a quick beach trip."

"The beach and access to the beach is the best. What I went for. Poor is in dire need of a good scrubbing. Moldy. The room has hardly any outlets. Could not take a bath. No way to hold water. When you shower the water fills for lack of clear pipes. Small refrigerator and small microwave. They tell you you will get your deposit and early check out refund but does not seem so. I was told the next day or two. Don’t believe everything they tell you"

"Our stay at Palmetto was nothing short of amazing! We had booked a reservation and didn’t know they had 2 properties, assuming they saw the disappointment when finding out we were across the street, the sweet lady at the front desk instantly informed us of an upgrade that not only was bigger, but was beachfront with an awesome balcony view. Of course we upgraded, & was so thankful for that decision! Every staff member we saw or come in contact with was so friendly & it wasn’t because the job required it. It was genuine! The cleanliness of the whole property amazed us! The parking was even great! The pool/hot tub was cleaned every morning, and the fact they have one indoor pool and one outdoor pool was very convenient! We are already booked for our next trip! Definitely recommend booking a reservation with this property!"

"Pros: right on the beach and had a big pool. A small tiki hut for drinks were on site. Location was close to shops and eatery. No complaints. Cons: STAFF. Not friendly. The office lady checking people in were yelling at people. After that getting the room clean was something that didn’t happen during our five night stay. Made one bed one time but left the other not made. Took our trash out once…"

"We booked this hotel b/c it was supposed to have no stairs in order to go down on the beach, it read, 'easy beach access walk straight down from the pool deck', but there were about 14 stairs so it is not handicap accessible. Therefore, we had to seek public beach access to put feet on the sand and toes in the sea. Also, the waterfall at the pool was not in operation, apparently, it was undergoing repairs. We were awakened by a fire alarm going off about 4 a.m. on our last day there, we were told it was a false alarm; no explanation why it went off. The room phone had to be replaced (it didn't work) as soon as we checked in, maintenance got right on it, replaced the jack and the phone. The hardwood floor had to be swept and needed mopped, there was a broom and dustpan for guests to use in the room, housekeeping obliged / swept and mopped it on our 3rd day there,apparently floor is hard to keep clean, I recommend socks be worn in the room to avoid dirty feet. Housekeeping and all other staff were really nice. Breakfast was a full breakfast of gravy, sausage and biscuits with eggs and more, and fairly good. I recommend ketchup with it. This is a comfy, mostly clean but very old hotel (appears to be undergoing repairs), it has nice balconies and beautiful ocean views to enjoy."
