"We checked in on a day when the entire area was without power. While it would be unfair to blame the resort for the outage itself, the lack of communication was unacceptable. The outage began at 8:00 AM, yet we received no updates prior to our 3:30 PM arrival.
Upon check-in, the staff provided the bare minimum: instructions on how to operate the one functioning heater. We had to return to the lobby ourselves to ask basic questions, such as whether there would be hot water (there wasn't) or how to light the room (we were told to find a small lantern under the sink).
The front desk staff were discouraging and cold; there were no apologies, no proactive guidance, and no ETAs. It felt as though we were an inconvenience for asking for help. While power was eventually restored thanks to PSE, the resort’s "you're on your own" attitude made us seriously consider leaving. Based on this experience, I have no confidence that the management would have offered any support or compensation had the outage continued.
I am rating it 3 instead of 0 is only because the other front desk young lady was nice and kind to us on the following day to help us setting up kayaking, and this has been the only positive experience we have had during our stay."
