I requested a quiet room and was given a corner room. They even upgraded my stay. I was a bit worried because of some mixed comments about the staff, but they turned out to be very friendly, and I had a fantastic stay. For the price, it’s one of the best options in Shanghai, and the location is excellent. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I visit. And thank you to the staff member who I saw doing stretches sometimes—you left a fun and memorable impression!

It is located in a traditional Chinese alley, however, rooms are clean, spatious, and convinient. 3 min walk from subway, 3 minutes walk to Suzhou Creek, 10 min walk to Bund. One of the best location in Shanghai, hotel is renovated from old Shanghai city building, so not so fancy outside and even difficult to find. I stayed there for Shanghai Marathon and it is super close to the start point: Shanghai Bund. You can easily go to Nanjing Road or take a metro.
