I came as a solo traveler on a budget, and Seoul Cube exceeded my expectations. The location is so convenient, and the property is very clean. Including breakfast in this price is a huge bonus. I was in the smaller room with just 8 beds and the room was very quiet even though it was fully booked. The pod has enough space and privacy for sleeping. The only thing I would say to keep in mind is that luggage is left outside so there isnt much space to open your suitcase and pack but its manageable. I stayed 5 nights and I'll definitely book again if I come solo (I've already visited Seoul several times and I know I'll visit again).

Showers were terrible, no water pressure, temperature fluctuations, no place to leave your clothes, tiny tiny tiny towels. They did provide soap and shampoo and all the tiny flannels you desired. Also, very little privacy in the bathroom area. You get what you pay for, and it was cheap. Thin mattress, no alarms allowed in the sleeping area. Breakfast was provided, which was nice, but it was only available until 10am and I never woke up because no alarms. I understood the need for the rules. But the bathroom thing... Kinda really disappointed me. It was clean though! Everything kept very clean the whole time.

I liked this place. Nice, clean, good location, friendly stuff, they do laundry service. There’s also breakfast (not my kinda breakfast though, but it’s included in the price). Very little space to open your suitcase, but everyone managed somehow. You can get there by bus from the airport (beware there are two seoulcubes).

This is a hostel style capsule hotel. Shared accommodation so it gets noisy. Storage of larger bag is haphazard but you can find a space and trust it should be fine. Instructions are clear and location is good.

The room was slightly smelly and hot so we had to air out the window. The way they gave room codes was not efficient as people with forget their codes and have to knock. The staff wasn’t super friendly or approachable. They kinda did their own thing. Laundry was a bit overpriced compared to other places. Only location was good.

Fine for the money

This place has self check-in, which is fine, but you miss out a bit on the welcoming experience of getting tour ideas and restaurant recommendations. You're also left to figure everything out by yourself, which again, we all did, but is always nice to have someone who knows what they're doing at your fingertips. I digress...the cube itself was fine, bed, clean sheets, a mirror, outlet and hangers. My issue with the hostels I stayed at in SK, including this one, is that there is nowhere to store luggage. the lockers are too small and there is no floor space. This means people are leaving their larger luggage unattended in the reception area. It felt safe and they say there is cctv, but as someone who has had things stolen before it was very uncomfortable. Location was good, close to transit and shopping, as long as you're ok staying in Myeongdong, to me it's a bit like Times Square in NYC. Showers and toilets were clean and available, small towels provided.

This place is the definition of overcrowded. The rooms smells really bad. The bathrooms you are not suppose to flush the toilet paper. So you can just imagine the smell. The lockers were so small you can barely fit a travel size backpack. I would definitely pay a little bit more for something a little nicer next time.

The two young Asian men from the staff were very friendly and helpful. English was not a problem either, unfortunately it was often very loud and the other guests did not follow the room rules. Despite this, the location is incredibly good, especially for this price. The palace is only a 5-minute walk away, perfect for a safe evening stroll around the palace. City Hall is practically right next to the hotel, so you can always pop over to events. In the end, I would happily stay there again because of the price and the incredibly good location.
