"Rooms are a good size and bed was reasonably comfortable. Lobby is small but stylish decor. Didn’t check out the on-site restaurant/bar or gym but nice that they were available. Location was perfect for access to the Seattle Convention Center, as well as easy walking distance to Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Capitol Hill neighborhood. There was only one functioning elevator which was a pain during checkout - I took the elevator back up to my room to get my bags but ended up walking down the stairs from the 10th floor due to the wait. "

"To say I loved this hotel is an understatement. The atmosphere is phenomenal with greenery and art throughout the building. They even have a "Nature Library"! It's a very cozy place to read, chat with friends or explore the hundreds of books based on all things nature. The bed was SOOO COMFORTABLE and who doesn't like a 15 square foot shower!?! I can't say enough about the wonderful staff at the front desk, the restaurant and even housekeeping. So friendly and helpful. With an easy walk the stadiums and the waterfront, will I be staying at the Populus again? Absolutely!"

"Walked in to the room that I was told was ready for us. There was a maintenance man in there with some used toilet parts spread out on the floor. Paid extra for breakfast. There's was never any reference to it being a continental buffet. Only that it was 2 cooked breakfasts. I wouldn't have paid for it had I been aware that was the situation. The bartender was extremely slow. The drinks have an absurd mark up. For the price I paid to stay here. All I saw was mediocrity in a fancy looking package. I've worked for years in hotels and restaurants... This is one I without hesitation will say that I'm never coming back to."
