"Excellent location and fair price. We always enjoy our stay here as the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Just a small let down this visit, we ordered a cooked breakfast which included a continental choice of certain items but the items we would have chosen were not available eg:- yoghurt and mixed berries, even though they were on the printed menu. Apart from that a lovely visit and will be back."

"After Expedia booked us into a 'Standard Room' instead of the room we paid much more for, we queried this with the hotel reception, who only had Expedia's information. They very kindly upgraded free us to an excellent room, for which we are extremely grateful. The room had excellent facilities and a magnificent view. Breakfast was good, although I have had better, but there was plenty of choice, The Fat Badger bar was very nice, although the drinks prices were extortionate, (I heard one customer asking the barman where his mask was). All in all, having stayed in other hotels in Whitby, this would my hotel of choice, mainly due to the friendly and helpful staff and refurbished decor and facilities. Expedia, however have still yet to get back to me, after a disrupted phone call while we were at the hotel, to explain why we paid more to them than they paid the hotel."

"I like the original victorian feel needs the cleaners to be bit more thorough and could do with a bit more maintenance like mold and mildew is not good but the pool area is amazing but very slippy needs more walkable mats in there I witnessed the staff fallbover with a bundle of towels in his hand But overall my stay was comfortable"

"A very traditional Farmhouse Guest House and all the better for it. A small, but well-coordinated room with a very comfy mattress set the stage for a brilliant breakfast, home-cooked to order. Very likely to be full up and we regarded ourselves as lucky to find a vacancy. There is a great supermarket close by in the village so a bedroom picnic is possible if you don't find an evening meal to your taste locally."
