"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Off the main road which was good. We thought it was a nice, pleasant place to stay within a short drive of Chester. I would recommend this place to friends visiting the area. We were just a couple that stayed for a week whilst building work was completed on our house and found it competitively priced so if you are a group of 4 then it would represent even better value. "Had a lovely stay. Our room was on the ground floor close to the pool. It wasn't very big but beautifully decorated. Used the pool on the evening which was lovely. We had included dinner in our booking which we had in Palm Court. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive. We had breakfast in there and had the same experience. We had used Tesco vouchers to pay for part of our stay and that was easy to do. We will definitely come back again."

"Was ok ,, stay over for 2 night for my 60th birthday but nothing special,room basic and had an issue with the room card day 2 and thought staff was a bit rude asking me for id when I had card in my hand ! Didn't drink in the bar or eat as thought the hotel would have done steak etc on menu but it was poor choices Won't stay again"

"Very kind, helpful staff. They helped us understand the city and informed us about amenities the hotel offers, such as showing my room key at certain restaurants for a discount. We also left very early morning, and they were very helpful in booking us a taxi to pick us up outside the hotel at 3am to take us the Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The room was very clean and comfortable, and was equipped with a small kitchenette (sink, plates, cutlery, fridge, etc)"
