Breakfast buffet was excellent and plentiful. Guilherme in the restaurant was a fantastic server/manager. Pool area & views of beach were beautiful. Conveniently attached to a shopping mall and walkable to many sights, restaurants and shops. Check-in was a bit chaotic and they told us they were unaware that cruise ship passengers would be checking out & in on that day - so they wer "not prepared". Rooms on lower floors dfinitely hear the street noise, especially overnight. Also, seemed odd to have a front desk staff member at a tourist hotel that only speaks Portuguese (no English she told us) which meant Google Translate to the rescue to inquire about when our room would be ready, etc.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, as is the rooftop pool. These are the two best parts of the hotel. The customer service was not good and the rooms are not in very good condition. The check in was wildly slow and later than the 3:00 time promised. They have checkout at noon but neglect to tell you that you absolutely cannot use any of the facilities after you check out. We wanted to buy lunch at the pool and wait for our 3:00 uber and they said absolutely not! I have never experienced that before. In short the prior reviews do not really tell whole the story. This is much more like a 3 star hotel with a rather unfriendly and unhelpful staff. As long as you know this and don't really mind, then for sure the location and rooftop pool are wonderful!!
