"We stayed for our eleven year anniversary and the woman at the front was so lovely and gave us the beach front room 110. When you can find the staff, they are lovely and helpful. We had to go down to get toilet paper and more towels because there is no housekeeping. It seems like they purposefully run on staff shortage so be prepared to be proactive and ask for what you need. There was no closet In our room but we managed. The bathroom Could use a coat of paint and the screens need to be mended. The motif is eclectic and it’s clear the owner is a maximalist. Check out the curio cabinet with the haunted dolls (I assume they’re haunted). My biggest complaint is that our room had what used to be a smoke detector installed and someone took the front plate of the mechanism off so we had no smoke detector the whole time or carbon monoxide. When we checked out, I tried to go downstairs to let them know, but alas, the staff was no where to be found. We have stated a couple properties and they are good for getting the job done and overall we are happy. Huge tv which was nice when we had our slow nights and the private patio was an absolute delight. I would be back but only if I get 110 again with a smoke detector. It’s not Santa Barbara resort vibes it’s Route 66 vibes that happens to be in Santa Barbara. Overall rating 7/10. Viva La!"

"Super cute hotel. Walking distance to the beach. In a cute area where you can take a walk in any direction and see beautiful views. The hotel property is clean and has lots of outdoor seating to spend time outside to enjoy the weather."

"We booked this room 20 minutes before we arrived and what an AMAZING stay we had for such a last minute booking. Another local hotel had mistakenly canceled our reservation and we were in something of a bind as our friends were staying at this other hotel. We needed something local and this was a block away. The staff was so friendly! Our room was clean and beautiful (the color drenching was an excellent touch). Our bed was so comfortable. And the location was just perfect. Our friends were jealous and wish they had also booked here, the original hotel (the same price point) was not nearly as nice. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel was clean, however; there was mold in the shower. The building is showing it's age. The hotel needs an update."
