" I truly enjoyed the time at Tropical Hideaway as a solo traveller. The proximity to the sea and the mountain, not to mention Olleh hiking trails, made it so perfect. Only downside is reataurants because most of them close relatively early. Swimming pool was almost to myself during the day, and the bathtub after night run made my day."

"There is a small kitchen, comfy place to stay in for a night or 2 facing the sea. The check in process is that theres no reception, but they label the key properly for your room. So it was pretty easy. Not recommended for those who need lift or heavy bags as there is only stairs "

"At one point, several years ago, this was likely a high-end hotel. However, it's dated interior shows (i.e. spa/hot tubs with faded/peeled plastic, acid etched water line private pools, scuffed and uneven wood flooring, limited dining services, broken lamps and dated furniture in the lobby, etc.) and is something I couldn't glean from the photos. Despite this, the hotel staff was very accommodating and professional; they are what makes this hotel shine. I would give this property a 7.9/10."
