"When we booked the hotel, the listing indicated that parking was available. However, upon arrival we were informed that hotel parking was sold out and we had to use an off-site parking location about a 5-7 minute walk away. Unfortunately, the surrounding area and parking location felt uncomfortable and unsafe for us, especially at night. This made the experience stressful, particularly since we were unfamiliar with the area and expected on-site parking based on the listing. Had we known parking was not guaranteed and that we would need to walk from another parking location late at night, we may have chosen differently. Otherwise, everything else was perfect."

"This is the best place to stay in Ottawa! It's centrally located, reasonably priced and has all the amenities you would need. We love the breakfasts and and the free laundry facilities. Since we have family in Ottawa, we'll be back a couple of times a year. Look no further than this place. It is the best kept secret in town."

"I realize when students are in residence they have to bring everything but when they rent to the public they should at least have a toaster, coffee maker, a few plates and utensils. There weren't any eating places near by. Or they should tell you at the time of booking they do not supply anything at all and the people are responsible to bring what they need. However the bed's were comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. Also, the O train wasn't to far and everywhere we went in the city the people are so friendly and even going out of their way to walk us to our destination."

"Breakfast was very ordinary. Jazz lounge was fun - good music, decent dessert. But worse was the staff, especially during check out. A) front desk wouldn’t pick up the phone so we requested reservations to allow late check out which they did till 1230 pm. However, apparently front desk did not get the update despite reservations lady confirming it’s on the system. Anyway, reception sent someone to our room at 1130 as original check out time was 11 am and they came banging at the door - not a knock but banging at the door. Super rude. Anyway, we didn’t bother staying till 1230 and just left. Zero regret by the lady at reception when we told her at check out. I had her call the reservations lady who was at least apologetic. Would not stay here again or recommend anyone. Cordial staff is very important. A 3 star hotel even feels like a 5 star with staff and service. "
