"I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable and pleasant, and I was genuinely happy with the overall experience. The only thing I wasn’t particularly happy with was the parking, which I found far too expensive for a hotel. I believe parking should either be free for hotel guests or offered at a more reasonable and affordable price. Apart from the parking costs, I really enjoyed my stay and was very satisfied with the room."

"Absolutely beautiful hotel set in gorgeous grounds. On arrival I joked with my husband that we were probably in an attic room 😄 and we were! but despite the stairs the room was great, big enough with a great bed. Cleanliness was excellent and bathroom huge with great fluffy towels, staff on reception were so pleasant and friendly both day and night. Breakfast hot and plentiful with choices for everyone. Will definitely stay again but perhaps in a ground floor room 😀"

"Buxton Crescent is a beautiful hotel. Our room was spotless and the bathroom was sparkling. The claw foot bath was a luxurious touch. And the Elemis toiletries were another luxury element. The food was well cooked and well presented. However, the stars of the hotel were the staff. They were attentive, polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. We did not go into the spa during our stay but we chatted to people who had used the spa and they gave glowing reviews. We had a lovely relaxing break exploring Buxton, topped off by this wonderful gem of a hotel. We shall definitely return in the near future."

"Good location, but the hotel is very tired and the rooms could do with being painted and refreshed. Our room room 1308 needed the walls painting. A lot of chipping and general wear and tear. This room let the hotel down."

"While the room was big, clean and nicely decorated, and I must mention great bathroom, I find it difficult to understand why this is marketed as a 5 star hotel, and the prices are in line with that. This is a gastro pub with rooms and very helpful staff. We had a chicken and leak pie, and Cajun chicken burger, both with chips. And while they were okay that is not the level of food we were expecting. In the room unfortunately the TV had wires hanging below it, and an unused bracket. And we didn’t expect to see an electric meter in the room. I write this not to be mean, but to give other travellers a clear understanding of what to expect."
