"I made a reservation Expedia told me to be there to check in the next day . When I got there they were closed. I had a family emergency so I couldn’t spend the rest of my afternoon stalking the internet going from Expedia to birch suites to figure out why they were close although I did try reaching out to Expedia with no results . So trip cancelled went home . Next day birch suites said since I had made the reservation thru Expedia then they were the ones that had to change my reservation date because their hours had changed without updating them . Expedia told me I was s****outta luck pretty much so I never got a refund or another reservation.’. My money was stolen by the both of them and this is the best part…..I PAID THE 9 EXTRA DOLLARS THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO GRANTEE ME MY MONEY in case of a situation like my reservation being canceled. What a joke!!!"

"The breakfast was great. Fresh biscuits, waffle maker, yogurt. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was accommodating to two very excitable tween boys."

"Floors do not look like they have been cleaned. Carpet in hallways old and not well kept. Security card reader on elevator is not working. The wall in our room had a big crack in the plaster from what appears to be from building settling. Breakfast was terrible. Juice machine was not working. They had a waffle maker, cereal, one piece of bread and three muffins when we went down. Next day same thing. No butter or margarine. We had to put down a $40 deposit for incidentals and when it was time to check out the receptionist wasn't sure what to do. We ended up bringing her up to inspect the room and then we got our cash deposit back. TV was hung crooked on the wall. "

"The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and had a lot of charm. The bathroom was small, but adequate. The shower water pressure left a lot to be desired. It’s a very old building which is part of its charm. One issue.. They were having construction work done and all the parking was roped off. It started the day before we checked out. We should have been informed of where to park. One of the construction team directed us. Other than that, our stay was delightful.."
