Grand Hotel Menaggio

"This is a true gem! Right on the lake with a lovely pool. The setting is fantastic. We loved the old fashioned touches such as turn down service in the evening with towels refreshed at night as well as in the morning. The hotel has been recently refurbished so the bedrooms are well thought out and nicely appointed without being too formal. We had a room overlooking the lake and loved waking up to the sun streaming in through the windows before heading down to a gorgeous breakfast. It has to be said that the food is amazing! The added bonus is that the ferry is just along the road which makes it really easy to hop over to other towns for the day, although the little town of Menaggio is charming and nowhere near as crowded as Bellagio. We will definitely be going back to this great hotel."

"Staff was exceptional as was the room, view and grounds. only issue was the shuttle. we tried calling and messaging but no one responded so we walked from the train station. Walking was fine, not responding to phone calls or whatsapp was not. "

"One of the nicest hotels I think I’ve ever stayed at, and the staff went above and beyond to help. My husband left his sunglasses in the restaurant and while we were waiting for the ferry they actually sent them down with a shuttle for him, which was so helpful because we were going to Bellagio for a couple days. The pool is stunning. It was so nice. There’s very few places with pools there so it was great to sit out there in the afternoon. It was so hot. We didn’t eat there so I’m not sure about the food, but you couldn’t find a nicer hotel great location. You walk out the front door and there was restaurants and everything right there. I think you can actually go down to the water too it looks like they have a little beach out in front. We didn’t do that either but it looks like you could do that. I’d stay there if you could."
