"This was our 2nd stay at the Avila Village Inn. It is a hidden gem adjacent the Bob Jones Nature Preserve.
When you walk in to register, you are met with a winding staircase, large stone fireplace and comfy sofas. There is also 24hr coffee and tea available for guests.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. And check-in was smooth.
We booked a room in the main building which is older than the new buildings. I believe the new buildings are the trail view, forest view rooms and suites.(verify with hotel)
Our room was the king Craftsman room with jetted tub. It was pretty spacious with a fireplace, wet bar, small cabinet refrigerator, table and 2 large wooden chairs. We couls still move around. The bed was comfy with clean linens and nice pillows. The closet had an iron and iron board, suitcase rack and complimentary robes for your use while at hotel.
Bathroom was large and spacious with double sinks and vanity makeup center with stool. It was clean. We had the jetted tub with a shower option. The tub work great and water pressure was good and hot.
The only reason I gave 4 stars for condition is minor but felt I should state it, is the bathroom caulk and some other minor areas could use renewing. That gave the bathroom a minor aged look.
If you want a secluded feeling, be close to nature and quite this is the place. The hotel has bikes for use in nature preserve. There is a small cafe that offers food and barista coffees.
This is now our go to hotel when in Avila."
