The hotel is old but the rooms are clean and you will be safe and rested. . Great area if you want to be close to the San Juan Cathedral. The area has lots of shops, restaurants and a Taxi SITIO a block away. Be aware that San Juan has no UBER service. I would stay here again.

This hotel was in a very convenient location. It was less than a 5min walk to the Basilica and so much shopping and food options. We give it 1 star because the room had bed bugs. Both my wife and I got bites the first night but we had never had bed bug bites before and didn't realize the severity of it. The 2nd night we got bit even more and it wasn't until we were home back in the US that we did research on what bed bug bites look like and realized yup we got bit at the hotel! The room also had a leak, the bathroom had ants (didn't notice until we were leaving the 2nd night), the tub didn't work, and the bed had bed bugs. I have messaged the hotel to let them know because I don't think anyone should be staying in the room. I think it needs a deep clean. Our stay was so short and our agenda really packed that we didn't have time to communicate the issues to staff or even change rooms.

A very beautiful and clean hotel. Budget friendly and conveniently close to the main plaza. The hotel restaurant is an excellent choice for breakfast, too.

Hotel has multiple maintenance issues: Elevator doesn’t work. Found mice in the room. We were able get moved to a different room, but we couldn’t even sleep. We asked for a refund which was denied. Parking lot is underground, heavy traffic in the area.
