El Castillo Boutique Luxury Hotel

"We booked our stay for the last 4 days of a two week trip around Costa Rica and this was by the far the best hotel we stayed at. It genuinely is as amazing as it seems in the photos and in the reviews. We had a spacious room that overlooked the beach. We had a generous sized balcony and plenty of space in the room to relax in. The pool and dining area are just spectacular - everywhere you sit allows you to take in the even more spectacular views. The decor itself of the hotel is so chic and peaceful to be around. Our breakfast was always delicious and soo much effort goes into them. Same with the one dinner we did enjoy there. It felt like fine dining food! Lastly, the staff. They are just amazing. So friendly, helpful, welcoming and so full of knowledge of the wild life in the area too which was so interesting to listen to. The staff deserve so much praise. 10/10 from myself and my fiance!"

"We stayed 4 nights at this little gem. The staff gives away family atmosphere. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Mayra and I felt like she was family, super friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, very cozy and pretty. The pool is very inviting and every room is facing it, as soon as you open the door it's right there, I would say the place is very Instagrammeable. Breakfast is delicious and they serve it hot for you. The location is very convenient, you can walk to a lot of restaurants, to tour operating companies, to the beach/national park. We had a rental car and it was nice to have a private secure parking spot for it, but the hotel has bikes that you can use for free and you can move around the area comfortably in them. You can book your boat tours directly with them as well. Also, we were talking to the owner and she let us know that they're working on building a spa, I'll be using it next time for sure as it will be ready soon and we're planning another trip in a short time hopefully!"

"I highly recommend The Trogon Lodge. The staff at the reception desk, the restaurant and the bar/café were super kind and helpful. The new manager is doing a great job. Delicious food: sopa azteca, sauteed trout with veggies, chicken stew, egg omelettes, for example. The trout could not be fresher since the hotel has its own trout ponds. (If you like juicy trout better ask the chef to cook it for less time.) The hotel is located at 2,200 meters above sea level (7,000 feet), at the edge of a crystal clean river, with a soothing sound and view areas with chairs to relax. Gardens and mountains around it are spectacular. The beds are very comfortable making it hard to get up. Many stairs and small hills to reach the upper rooms. The trails can be challenging, and I recommend using hiking boots there. Again, highly recommended."

"We stayed for 5 nights at the hotel. The hotel has the most beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant was great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The swimming pool was beautiful. We saw all kinds of birds and animals in the ground of the hotel. Highly recommend for anyone staying around the Uvita area with a car."

"Tiki Villas is a beautiful place with very helpful and friendly staff. Ana and William helped ensure our stay was comfortable and booked an excursion to Corcovado which was a lovely day adventure and a dinner reservation in Uvita. We loved relaxing with a delicious drink by the pool. Jose made a refreshing lemongrass and ginger tea that was my favorite. The restaurant was delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner- kudos to the chef in particular for the catch of the day and the French toast. Fernanda and Brandon and Jose were kind servers and nice to talk to. The entire staff was welcoming and went above and beyond communicating through whats app and making sure we had everything we needed, like preparing breakfast to go when we had an early morning start. The hotel has a lovely view and comfortable accommodations. We had four wonderful nights here and would love to stay again!"
