"Had a wonderful experience staying at the lodge. The staff are wonderful. They offer an option to park on site for a fee which is great because street parking is challenging. Garage is tight, might be difficult for long trucks. Walking distance from Coronado beach. Free beach chairs, towels and umbrellas made the morning beach experience so comfortable. The bed in the room is super comfy and the neighborhood is dead silent after 10. Best I have slept on vacation. Complimentary breakfast and mimosas in the morning. Easy drive to La Jolla, ocean beach, downtown, etc. Just a great experience away from the chaos."

Best Western Plus Suites Hotel Coronado Island

"We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We enjoyed walking to the bay to shop eat and ride the ferry to Comic Con. Breakfast offered a lot of choices. The pool was small but it was big enough to allow the kids to play. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion would be to replace the sofa beds. The bed wasn’t very sturdy even for our 11 year old."

"We planned this trip to be close to our daughter's husband who is stationed on Coronado. We have been to San Diego many times but the first time we stayed on Coronado. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The staff were so amazing to our daughter and her new husband. The hot breakfast choices were excellent. We enjoyed the pool. We were so close to walk to the beach, great restaurants, and fun shops. Would def stay here again."

"The room was clean and tidy, the staff were helpful, and the hotel offered convenient amenities like bicycles, umbrellas, beach chairs, and totes. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel also offers a small cold breakfast offering of baked goods, parfaits, coffee, tea, and some juice. The hotel itself is well maintained and clean. Its historic character shines through its remodel and is within a block of the beach. I’d recommend to anyone. The only downsides are: - The size of the rooms. The rooms are incredibly small and have very little space. If you have a lot (or large) luggage pieces, you may feel a bit cramped. - In-room privacy. The room we stayed in had a sliding glass barn door style door (not a pocket door that seals well). If you’re not comfortable with your partner or roommate, you might have a hard time using the restroom or taking a shower. The door is see through (though it has privacy glass). - In-room air conditioning. The room does have air conditioning, but our air conditioner was a bit damaged and didn’t swing or change fan settings. Thankfully it did turn on and off. Even still, it’s a beautiful, quaint hotel and an enjoyable place to stay."
