"The bed was too hard and pillows firm. I prefer a softer mattress and fluffy pillows. In our room, the AC unit required a key to operate that was attached to our room key so when you leave, the AC unit turns off. So you come out of the heat to a hot humid room. However, our friends room AC unit didn’t require a key so make sure to ask about that. Other than that, the rooms are very spacious and clean. Our balcony was amazing to sit in the morning and have a cup of coffee looking out at the ocean...

"Las Cascadas has amazing virws of the mountains behind it. We saw birds and monkeys and even deer during our stay. The marina is very conveniently located just down the hill. This hotel is on a mountain, so there are a lot of hills and stairs. If you don't mind a hike, this hotel is definitely for you. All the staff were friendly and willing to help however they could. If you have not rented a vehicle, i suggest contacting them to arrange transportation from the airport in Quepos "

"The pool and pool side restaurant was like an oasis from the hustle and grit of San Jose. The food at the restaurant was incredible and well priced. Highly recommend ordering lunch or dinner by the pool. Our room was simple but clean. Comfy pillows! The area feels safe to walk around during the day. The staff were all wonderful.
