The property is stunning. We spent the majority of our time at the pool because we could always find a spot to sit. The beach was really busy, but also totally worth it. The water was warm, and they had lots of activities to do in the water. I do wish they had more pool activities. The food was okay. I always found something to eat, but it was not my favourite. The staff was friendly, fun, and engaging.
I’m giving this hotel two stars mainly because the beachfront location is beautiful and the staff was genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, friendliness does not always translate into good customer service.
We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, and from day one we had ongoing issues with the air conditioning. It broke down at least twice a day—most often after midnight. We called to report the problem at least six times and requested a room change, but although we were repeatedly told it would be fixed or that we’d be moved, neither ever happened. Until the final day—less than an hour before checkout—there was someone at the room trying to repair it.
Hot water was also inconsistent.About half the time, there was no hot water when we tried to shower.
Housekeeping was unreliable as well. The room was not cleaned properly, dirty towels were left behind on one occasion, and on another, clean towels weren’t provided at all. When we requested them, it took over two hours to receive replacements.
The buffet food was mediocre and repetitive, with little variety from day to day. We tried two à la carte restaurants: the Mediterrenas restaurant was excellent, both in food and service, while the Fusion restaurant had good service but very disappointing food.
In conclusion, I would only recommend this hotel if you’re primarily looking for direct access to a beautiful beach and friendly staff. However, if food quality and timely resolution of issues are important to you, this may not be the best
Property is decent, got what you paid for. Got food poisoning and was charged $500 in a medical bill. Medical facility and care were way better than expected. Food was okay in my opinion, nothing to write home about, but got the job done. Not much to do on the property besides pool, beach, and small miscellaneous activities. Definitely an older crowd, so it was peaceful and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean, the ocean was visible from our balcony, the staff was friendly and helpful, specially Adonis, he truly helped make our stay an excellent and enjoyable experience, by thinking ahead and providing an exceptional customer service! The beach was clean , the pool was great as well and the food was also delicious!! We had a great time.
Wonderful clean ocean view room, only issue was bathroom didn't have ventilation only window. Made birthday special with fruits and liquor. Staff was very friendly.
Excellent food! Beautiful beach and beautiful pool. Staff was fairly nice except for the front desk. Staff who were very very rude unless you spoke Spanish or or French. We spoke English. Also, when booking for this place, make sure you get a flight that is not through POP airport as it’s 3 1/2 hours it will cost you over $200 US. We were unaware of that and it was excruciating. Entertainment was wonderful except for having to listen to karaoke at the bar when we were going through one of our à la carte dinners. The à la carts were actually pretty good. The fusion restaurant was wonderful and the staff there were very very good.
Pros:
Beautiful beach and pool; peaceful, scenic setting.
Comfortable room with relaxing balcony.
Generally hospitable and friendly staff, responsive to concerns/complaints.
Strong sustainability effort (Vero water filtration, no plastic bottles, glass bottles provided).
Cons:
The biggest issue for me was the food. As a vegetarian, I found the options limited, and dishes were not clearly labeled to indicate meat content. The food was also overly salty for my taste, and I was hungry much of my stay. At one specialty restaurant, the menu did not match what was served, and unavailable ingredients were not clearly explained.
Stains on bedding linen/bed skirt upon arrival (resolved, but delayed replacement of comforter...hours later)
While I value the Vero water system, it is only located on the 1st floor. My room was on the 3rd so frequent trips were necessary until I requested a 2nd bottle. Water stations on each floor would improve convenience.
No bathroom fan; no in-room safe instructions.
Cats freely roam the property, including the dining hall (not an issue for me but important for guests with allergies).
One staff member was overly assertive about attending a presentation and needed firm reminders to respect my boundaries.
Bottom line: Beautiful property and eco-conscious, but food limitations (vegetarian)and a few service/cleanliness issues impacted my stay. Because of the food limitations and overall experience, I would likely choose a different property next time.

Room phone never work, line was off, my room has a pool but always was water coming from the roof dropping down the pool, sad I never get to used the pool
The staff were fantastic and the entertainment team were very engaging and friendly. The resort is smaller but amazing. The beach is gorgeous and the pool is also a highlight. However the bungalow we had seemed to be infested with cockroaches, when we spoke to the front desk they had just told us it’s expected in somewhere tropical but this wasn’t just a handful it was dozens and even went into our bags and now we need to throw them on the balcony to kill them in the cold and thoroughly wash/clean everything down.
Many people spoke about getting sick, my group was totally okay and we found the buffet food to be really good. Recommend the resorts but maybe not the bungalows if you want to stay away from those roaches.
Our room was wonderful. The pool that was outside our room was not best though. It was very small, not filled all the way and when we got there it looked dirty.
The staff was wonderful, we did end up getting stuck with some staff who wanted to sell us a timeshare and they mentioned it would take an hour but it took up majority of our first day there which was 3hours spent with them so that was majority of our first day.
Booking excursions was very convenient and we were able to do so right at the front desk and that was lovely. There were paddleboards, body boards, kayaks and many things to do on site which was lovely to have.
The food was not best. I love Dominican food, but it was not what I expected. Majority of time, the food was cold. A lot of people were complaining of the food when we were there and stated getting sick. I watched 2 people faint from the effects of being sick from the food.

Room was very nice and clean. Shower was excellent.Staff was very nice but did not speak much english.
Food was edible but nothing special. Buffet was outside, feral cats wandering throughout the dining are (they were friendly). twirly things to keep flies off food worked a little.
beach was beautiful. had some rain, but an umbrella was provided.
drinks were good.
Camera come da foto. Personale cortese. Piscina molto attrattiva ma non usata. Accesso su spiaggia notevole e suggestivo. Animazione diurna non proprio coinvolgente, nulla da dire su intrattenimento serale. Ritornerei.
I paid ~$350/night so I'm not too upset about this but I found the food to be quite bad and the drinks subpar. The beach itself is quite nice though. The rooms feel like a touch above a random motel you'd find in the states.
The rates at this place swing quite a lot so if I paid anymore than this I'd feel totally robbed.
That being said, the staff are friendly and helpful. I think it's overall this is a get-what-you-pay-for situation.
God bless
