Hampton by Hilton York
10/10 Excellent
"It was pleasant stay. The room is clean and spacious. The breakfast is 👍 Thank you 😊"

The Grand, York
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was in a perfect location right across from the wall and with an easy walk into the heart of the old town. The staff were incredibly personable and helpful and were sincere in asking about us. We ate all dinners at The Rise. The food was fabulous."

Hampton by Hilton York Piccadilly
10/10 Excellent
"Good location really friendly and helpful staff"

Malmaison York
2/10 Terrible
"Room was poorly maintained with bits hanging off the wall/missing and ac didn’t work. Breakfast and the sky bar were a joke and poor quality"

ibis Styles York Centre
10/10 Excellent
"This Ibis is in a stunning old building with High Ceilings and Tall Windows. The natural light, and views were delightful. The design and detail throughout is Contemporary, well-designed and executed. The tile work in the bathroom was very artistic. All of the Desk staff were friendly, patient, and helpful. I gather that this property was recently extensively renovated and Upgraded to the much higher "Styles" designation within the Ibis brand levels. The Breakfast Room/Bar is stunning - almost Scandinavian style. The Breakfast was filling, diverse, tasty, and High Quality. Everything was Fresh, Hot, and replenished continuously as needed. I really appreciated the Breakfast - and looked forward to it each morning. The Coffee was Ourstanding - which, no offense, is not the norm in the UK. The Beds, and bedding were exceptionally comfortable - impressive and welcome. I think this Hotel was worth the price - and more than Five Stars. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay in York. My stay at this Ibis Styles reinforced my decision to visit York - and enhanced my visit to York immensely."

Radisson Hotel York
6/10 Okay
"Nice room, with a refrigerator, but the room facing the river gets the noise from the bars across the river until 3am. I'll stay here again, but request a room facing the road."

Hotel du Vin & Bistro York
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful junior suite with freestanding bath and sizeable shower; very comfy bed. Excellent food in the restaurant."

The Milner York
8/10 Good
"Beautiful hotel, Good location as next door to the train station. Reception staff were very helpful and had good customer service skills. Restaurant food was good although there were very few staff on and this lessened the looked after feeling. Breakfast was good. Pool was lovely but we went about 4pm and the changing rooms were wet everywhere from use. - we were possibly just unlucky that people before us were not considerate. £22 per 24hr extra to park at the hotel. When you pay £200+ a night I would have liked that included. Would I stay again? No,"

Dean Court Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Dean Courtney is conveniently located directly opposite the Minster. It is a short 15 minute walk from the train station. I was concerned that the area would be noisy given the location but it wasn’t. We stayed in the Wolsey Room which was tucked away in a connected building accessed via a back stairway behind the restaurant reception. One flight up and no elevator. The room was spacious but stark, a bit worn and lacked much furniture. There was no luggage rack or chest of drawers to store anything. We had to perch our luggage on the window seat. Not sure why but there were two large chandeliers in the room which looked very much out of place. I suspect it might have been used as a meeting room at some point. There is no air conditioning so I would not want to stay in the summer. We visited in late May staying 3 nights. The last day got quite warm around 85 degrees. The room got quite stuffy. Thankfully there was a decent enough fan to move the air around. Only one window would open and only about 6 inches. The bed was ok. The bathroom was fine, surprisingly great water pressure for a UK hotel. There is only passive venting so condensation builds up during bathing, hence some black mold on the caulk around the tub. The included breakfast was decent enough. You could order anything from the menu. It took awhile for someone to take your order but once that was done the food came along pretty. Overall ok for the price but probably would not stay here again"
